Security and Safety Committee

With the large workforce that comes to RGIP from all over Pune and PCMC, it is critical that RGIP is provided full security that would ensure safety of the employees at all times. This assumes even more importance as the IT Park operates even at night with many BPOs operating 24x7. Coupled with this, the security of the installations, companies and other infrastructure needs to be ensured. To ensure smooth movement of traffic within RGIP also rests on the shoulders of this sub-committee. The Sub-Committee has been extremely active and vigorous in conducting its tasks and has established an excellent relationship with the police that helps them respond to any situation. The Committee was instrumental in getting a proper Police station established at Hinjawadi and is now making effortswith the Govt administration for setting up of a police chowky in Phase-III of RGIP. The sub-committee has set up a Joint Security Task Force (JSTF) comprising three vehicles with bouncers and police rep that patrol all across the length and breadth of RGIP throughout the day and night and is available as a quick response team to any call made to the vehicles for which dedicated mob numbers have been assigned. The sub-committee has positioned Traffic Wardens to assist the police in ensuring smooth flow of the traffic. Without their efforts it would have resulted in absolute chaos on the streets. The Committee representatives continue to spare a large part of their daily schedule in ensuring that RGIP remains a place where employees can feel secure and work without worries.
